I'm Sarah Giles, and for 35 years I worked as a journalist specialising in gardens and food. I started a blog several years ago to record what I was doing in the garden and what I was cooking, week by week. It was a way for me to look back and see what had worked best in the veg patch and the ornamental garden, and to remind myself of the food I'd cooked and who I'd cooked it for.
